Remember Mr Biffo? Get Stuffed?

Well if not here is a little background.
Paul Rose a.k.a Mr Biffo was the brains and humour behind the Channel 4 Teletext page named Digitiser. Digitiser (or DIGI) was an amazing thing and I’m sorry you missed it.
Everyday was a laugh a minute experience, with reveal-O’s, morse and lewis and the snake.
Not forgetting Mr. T.

On to other news, i was up watching telly and the classic get stuffed came on. Originally aired during the Gulf War, those TV people seem to think another war requires get stuffed again.

Drinking and such

Went to a small pub near Oxford for a LSN event on saturday.
Great venue, the sun was shining all day and much cider was drunk.

JG was there as well. It’s quite strange being sat talking to a guy that kept you glued to your spectrum for days/weeks/months at a time.

Great day and I got a mouse mat too.

Firefox – 0.9
Firefox empowers you to browse faster, more safely and efficiently than with any other browser.
At first you’ll think that the browser is quite basic, but it has alot of great features, plue there are loads of addons avaiable to download for it, along with themes.

A great mail program, I use this as my standard mail application.

AdAware
Ad-aware is a multicomponent detection and removal utility to get rid of spyware and malware.

Spybot-S&D
Another great piece of software, that removes malware and spyware, along with tell you of changes make to registry settings, missing shortcut paths among other things.

Some Freeware

Software that is free isn’t always useful or hasn’t got many features. Here is a quick list of useful freeware programs that i find handy.

ConTEXT (1.17MB)
A free handy text editor, aimed at developers more that other, but quite useful.

Agent Ransack (792 KB)
Agent Ransack is a free tool for finding files and information on your hard drive fast and efficiently.

AM-Notebook Lite (830 KB)
A system tray utility that provides an easy way to store notes, TODOs and other data.
