Blaugust24 Playlist
Find out what is on my speakers during Blaugust
Had to take a gap as we left the in-laws and travelled home. It gave me some time to think about some posts I wanted to re-explore that work well with an interval. However this will be hampered by the fact my old posts are still to be moved, it's not a hard process just a time consuming one that I haven't set time aside to tackle yet.
When it comes to music
The family and are still enjoying Deezer and haven't regretted the move from Google Music before it was absorbed into Youtube Music.
Of course that's for playing of music, I still support artists directly where possible and purchase Band Camp when available. Deezer does allow you to upload songs that they don't have so you can still stream them and include in them in playlists, which is kinda cool.
Anyway this is what I am enjoying at the moment during Blaugust 2024, a varied collection that mostly refreshes when something new drops, or I hear a track on a DJ stream and go off down that rabbit hole, either exploring something new or remember lost favourites.
- SPACE COWBOYS - by slowerpace 音楽
- A wonderful re-imagining of music perfect for bounty hunting, delivers an amazing vibe that feels comfortably familiar if you enjoy the show.
- Kain - Statiqbloom
- Great album that continues to see statiqbloom push the EBM & industrial genre.
- Favourite track is Hidden From Form
- Uncovered Volume 8 - Unwoman
- Unwoman (aka Erica Mulkey) again delivers an amazing selection of covers in this her 8th volume of uncovered, blending melodic beats, cello and haunting vocals for another adventure into a wide and varied mix of songs,
- I'm Afraid of Americans is my favourite track at the moment.
- Ghost House Sessions, Vol. 1 - Ashbury Heights
- The long-time arriving collection of unreleased tracks that never made the cut, revitalised for this dark synthpop album.
- We have had a few taster tracks over the last few years, as such, Wild Eyes remains my favourite track.
- The Demystification Of The Human Heart - Neuroticfish
- It's hard to believe it's been 6 years since the last Neuroticfish album, but this sixth studio album was worth the wait as the themes are raw and topical with a backdrop of hammering beats and melodic tunes.
- Echokammer is an amazing track and my current favourite.
- Sunset Mission - Bohren & Der Club Of Gore
- A friend of mine, Hellbound Heart, introduced me to this dark album years ago, and it still remains one of my highest played albums. I can just fire this album up regardless of the mood I'm seeking, and it's always a good fit.
- Already Dead - TeknoVore, J:dead
- The baseline tempo of this track is glorious and you can't help but want to Leeroy Jenkins all activities all the time.
- Masochist - Night Club
- An album from dark electronic duo, the theme on this one is around relationships. Each album improves on the last and this doesn't disappoint.
- Favourite Track : Everybody Knows
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road (Original Game Soundtrack)
- With each new Elder Scrolls expansion, I usually get hooked on the accompanying soundtrack and this year is no exception.
- One of the main things I enjoy about the soundtrack is that they do an amazing job setting the mood for the zone and always feel unique.
